Under the Advanced Settings Tab, the Reset Settings button is a quick and easy to wipe out any changes you’ve made to the Toolkit.

This is a great way to start fresh (Fresh Start, anyone?) if you dove into the Toolkit without this handy guide. Or maybe something you used to see has disappeared and you want the nuclear troubleshooting option.
Be aware, this button resets the Toolkit to the default settings. That is not the same as turning every Toolkit setting off. I’ve noticed that the Toolkit comes with more and more settings turned on by default. I’m not sure who decides if a setting is on or off by default but clearly someone gets a vote and their preferences might not line up perfectly with yours.
Personally I think this button should turn off all the Toolkit settings or return them to YNAB defaults. I don’t have any big issues with what the Toolkit developers have decided should be turned on by default; my issue is that they feel justified in turning any settings on by default.
What good is this button if it doesn’t give you a truly clean slate? To truly start fresh you have to either reset everything manually or you can do part of it automatically with this button and then hunt through the tabs for the remaining settings that are still on.
